Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world, The\u00a0Uros<\/strong> Islands<\/strong>\u00a0were one of the oldest ethnic groups that inhabited the highlands, dedicating themselves to fishing and hunting birds, depending entirely on the\u00a0Totora<\/strong>\u00a0(Aquatic Plant of the Lake)<\/em>, a plant with which they build their islands, houses, rafts and that also give them it serves as food and fuel. The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel at approximately 08:45 hours and traveling to the main port, Boat out to Lake Titicaca for a guided tour of the floating islands. After 25 minutes, we will get off the boat on these islands built by their own inhabitants with totora reed, which grows on Lake itself.\u00a0 After some explaining from our guide and from the inhabitants of the island about their way of life. You will have free time to sail on a totora raft on the lake and take some pictures. After, you will board our motorboat again and return to the city of Puno at 12:30 hrs.<\/p>\r\n
